CAMP SEW FUN!
Camp Sew Fun is a 3 day summer workshop that introduces boys and girls, ages 8 to 18, to the basic skills of sewing AND at the end of the 3 days they will take home their own Bernette 46 sewing machine! While learning about their machine they will make a tote bag, a skirt or pair of shorts, a small bag with a zipper and another bag with a button & buttonhole. Classes are limited to 4 students to ensure each child gets the attention needed to complete their projects.
The cost of Camp Sew Fun is $275 – that includes all sewing supplies and fabrics for class projects AND their Bernette 46 sewing machine (retail value $249).
2013 scheduled classes are:
June 17-19 July 22-24 August 5-7 2-4:30pm each day

New Shop Challenge!
If you purchase 1 packet of 'Stone Chips" from Northcott, you are eligible to enter our challenge contest. The rules are simple: Make a project of your choosing not to exceed 45" x 60". You must use at least 18 of the "Chips" in the package. Project can be quilted items, clothing, home decor, baby items, etc. Our sample in the photo above is a tablerunner. Projects are due in the shop by June 1, 2013. They will be on display for voting the month of June.

Sewing Parties at Country Cloth!
We are hosting sewing parties for:
Birthday
Wedding
Baby
Graduation
Girls Night Out
Etc......
You don’t even have to know how to sew OR quilt...we’ll teach you that, too!
You tell us what you want to make. Bring at least 3 friends. We do the rest.
Some of our ideas:
Birthday sleepover party: the birthday girl selects a fabric to make matching pillowcases & pajama bottoms for her & a few friends, then they’re off for a sleepover!
Wedding party: Gather the wedding party to make a memory quilt for the bride using your own photographs
Baby shower: Have a baby shower at the shop & make a quilt for baby
Graduation: Collect t-shirts once worn by the graduate & make a quilt
Girls night out: Call your girlfriends to make tote bags & have a glass of wine while you catch up on each other’s busy lives
Cost will be dependent on project & number of guests. We can do day, evening or all-night get togethers...the details are up to you!

Mo Gonzales will be teaching a few upcoming classes at Country Cloth. Here is a little history on her quilting carreer:
Mo began her quilting journey in 2001. She started sewing at the age of 6 with her mom & grandmother. As she got older she took tailoring classes & many art classes where she learned about color & designed gowns & wedding dresses. Mo designed giftware items back in the early 80's when she started her own business selling handmade gifts to Disneyland, Mervyns, Pier 39 & many other specialty shops. Her friends would always ask why she didn't quilt, so she took a quilting class & the rest is history!
After a few years, taking classes from well known teachers who contributed to her quilting knowledge, she began to teach around northern & central California. She has taught in Sacramento, Cameron Park, Winters, Brentwood, Ceres, Tracy, Manteca, San Mateo, San Jose, Morgan hill & many other towns. There is nothing that gives Mo greater joy than to see the smiles on her student's faces when they realize they have achieved a beautiful work of art in their quilts, plus the wonderful friendships that have been made doing what she loves.
Mo will teach the Gemstones Quilt on Thursday, June 13 & Friday, June 14. Quilt is on display in the shop.
